Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (Aug. 16, 2006) – The guided missile frigate USS Reuben James (FFG 57) sits pierside
at Pearl Harbor after returning from a six-month deployment. The ship traveled more than 45,000 miles
supporting the global war on terrorism and maritime security operations (MSO).

Bay. Kitty Hawk completed a 99-day summer underway period, which including participating in Valiant Shield
2006, the largest joint Navy and Air Force exercise conducted since Operation Desert Storm.
