Norfolk, Va. (Aug. 25, 2005) - The amphibious assault ship USS Saipan (LHA 2) is guided to the pier by tug
boats as her Sailors man the rails. Saipan returned to Naval Station Norfolk after completing a three-month
surge deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
